West- and Eastbound on German motorway A4 (Frankfurt-Dresden):
Take the departing ramp at the Erfurt junction to A71 bound for Meiningen,
then turn into the exit ramp for Meiningen North (Nord).

Northbound from Lower Franconia on German motorway A7:
Take the departing ramp at Schweinfurt to A70, and then turn into the departing ramp B19 bound for the towns Bad Neustadt – Mellrichstadt – Meiningen. From the town limits on, proceed on the B19 to the town center.

Northbound from Upper Franconia on German motorway A73 (Nuremberg):
Take the departing ramp at Bamberg-Breitenguessbach, further proceed on B4 to Coburg, and then continue in the direction of Rodach-Hildburghausen. As of the city limits of Hildburghausen, proceed to the left in the direction of Meiningen on B89 via Themar. In Meiningen, you junction with B19 and then proceed in the direction of Eisenach.
